I’m extremely late on my Thanksgiving post, but, better late than never, right?
Growing up in such a tight knit neighborhood basically gave me an extra family. Other than my parents and my two dogs, I don’t have a very big family, and neither do the other two neighbors that I grew very close to. Because of this, we all began spending each holiday together, and we would just switch houses for each holiday. Across the street, there are three kids, Kyle, Austin, and Marissa, and down the street we have Emily. For about 16 years now, we have had each holiday together, being, New Year’s Eve, Superbowl, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and the parents birthdays. Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve are held across the street at The Dunn’s, Superbowl and Easter are held down the street at The Davidson’s, and lastly, Fourth of July and Christmas Eve are held at my parents house AKA The Geer’s. Sixteen years of this, and I have looked forward to it all each year. This is one of the main things I love about my neighborhood… the fact that I received a family out of it.
In no particular order, here are 4 different years of Thanksgivings, and the picture we take every year. 🙂
So thankful for these people that are like my brothers and sisters
And here are a few from this year:
Thankful for my wonderful boyfriend, Cody,
And thankful for my two dogs, Honey (bottom,) and Meela (top.) I’m so obsessed with them. <3
