On Valentine’s Day, Cody and I had a reservation at Color Me Mine to paint, and instantly, I knew I wanted to paint coffee cups. A few days before Valentine’s Day, I wrote the “14 Valentine’s Day Ideas” post, and that is exactly where I got my idea from! Except ours didn’t turn out as great. When I finished painting mine, it was a very soft, pastel pink, but then when we picked them up yesterday, it was like a bright, but dark, not so pretty, pink. Cody had painted a few white parts on his, and yesterday it looked yellowish-white haha. But we just laughed at it and said that we at least had fun. (I played with the lighting a lot for this picture, so this is nowhere near the color pink it actually came out to!)
The cups explain us perfectly, too! I’m the coffee drinker, and I’m not really a fan of tea, while Cody is a tea drinker, and not really a fan of coffee. I also got him “youthberry” tea and a tea maker for Valentine’s Day, so this worked out perfectly! There is a store in quite a few malls called Teavana (if you haven’t heard of it,) and every time I would go to the mall with Cody, we would pass by it and he always wanted to try the samples they had out. One day he said, “I wish you drank tea instead of coffee, because I could totally wake up and have tea every morning.” So from that sentence, I knew I wanted to get him a tea maker. And he loves it! We even went to Teavana today to get more tea flavors for him. I tried the one he made today, and I am actually craving it right now… which is so weird, because I’ve always said that I hated tea. But whatever he made yesterday was SO good. I haven’t admitted it to him yet, but I’ll probably get a text or a call once he reads this post lol.
