The Dry Bar is a place where you can go het a blow out, and a few other hair styles, drink a mimosa, or whatever you’d like, and have a chick flick playing in front of you. They have quite a few locations, and I’m dying to try it out! They also have their own line of products, which I’ll be talking about three of them today.
The first product is the Hot Toddy. I just tried this yesterday and I can honestly say I was amazed at the results. Basically, It protects your hair from the heat of a blow dryer and straightener, and also prevents frizz. Now the frizz part is what amazed me. I put a quarter sized amount of the cream in my hand, and ran it through the bottom half of my hair with my fingers. The bottom half of my hair literally looks like I got electrocuted after I blow dry, but the Hot Toddy actually made my hair look normal. Sure, there was still a LITTLE bit of frizz, but the difference was HUGE. After blow drying just my ends, (which I do first) I turned my blow dryer off just to look and feel my hair because I was in shock. I really didn’t think it was going to help in such an excessive way. I only use this on the bottom half, though, not the top half, because I don’t want to take any volume out from the top.
The second product is a shampoo and conditioner which is not pictured above. I ordered the first product online, so I got the shampoo and conditioner sent as a sample, which was called Texas Tea. This is for hair that wants volume, which I’m all about, and was happy with the end results, BUT I am just such an advocate for sulfate free shampoo, so I won’t be buying this product. Regular shampoo and conditioner makes my hair so annoyingly dry, and almost impossible to comb out. Once I was introduced to sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, I have never been able to switch back. The sulfate free products I use can be found HERE.
And lastly, their round brush. I blow dry my hair each time I get out of the shower, and yes, I absolutely hate it, but I have Mexican roots, so I can’t just let it air dry. lol. I’ve never liked my round brush, and for the longest time I had been looking for a better one to use, so I tried the Full Pint Medium Round Brush by Dry Bar, and of course, I love it. Because of the ceramic barrel, and the type of bristles, it also creates less frizz like the Hot Toddy. I started using this brush before I used any of the above products, and there really was a big difference when comparing how my hair used to look with my old round brush. I’m telling you guys, world of a difference.
