This past weekend I had my hair and makeup trial for the wedding and my bridal shower brunch! Which, speaking of, I COMPLETELY forgot about doing an Instagram live. Saturday morning, I had my trial, (hair & makeup done by Nora from Contour Fossa,) and right after I had to rush over to my bridal shower because I was late, lol. So by the time I got there, I was so flustered, and went straight into taking pictures with everybody, that it completely slipped my mind!
But let's back track to what happened with my outfit for this day. Three weeks ago, I ordered a dress from the Forever 21 Bridal section, and it said it came in the week after, so two Friday's ago. My tracking number as delivered and everything... except, it wasn't in my mailbox. Long story short, it somehow got put into the wrong mailbox, and all of the mailboxes can't be opened until tomorrow. MAJOR FAIL. So I start going through my closet to find a white outfit to wear, and I saw this dress I also bought from Forever 21 about 3 months ago, but didn't end up liking because it was sooooo long and see-through. I also posted it on my instagram a few weeks ago, saying how it didn't fit, etc. lol. So I ended up taking it to my mom's house and asked if she could hem it, but she said this material wouldn't work, so she called a lady she knows who works out of her garage to hem it. We go over to her house, and I explained how I had a different dress, and how it was a high-low dress, and all... and she goes "I can make this dress a high-low if you want?" So that's what we ended up doing! And then I also bought an additional slip to wear underneath, because of the see-through issues (even though the dress came with a slip.) Moral of the story, I ended up loving how the dress came out!
Fast forward to the brunch, I asked my flower girl and ring bearer to be in the wedding with these super cute gifts I found on Etsy. The things pictured weren't everything in their little bags, but let's just say I got a little carried away with their gifts as I searched for ideas on Etsy for ways to ask them, haha.
Also, how freakin CUTE are the wine bottles with the stickers on them? My Maid of Honor, Emily (the one in the red,) got me that as my gift and I thought it was the cutest gift ever!! It was also exciting to see what people picked out from my wedding registry... which, who knew doing a wedding registry could be so annoying?! I still have so much more to add for the actual wedding, because according to The Knot, I only have like 8% of gifts available for purchase for the amount of people invited to the wedding, and half of those were already purchased by everyone at the Bridal shower, lol.
Huge thank you to my mom and Steven (my old dance teacher in one of the snapchats above, who is like amazing when it comes to graphic design, interior design, you name it - he made my bridal shower invites & menus + has pretty much taken the reigns in helping with the wedding planning with my mom.) I loved how everything turned out and how fun it was to celebrate with so many of the people I love!
