Ok guys, if you follow me on snapchat, then you know I did what is know as the "Vampire Facelift/Facial" last Friday! My friend did it for me at his place in Seal Beach, and we also did some neck fillers. Now don't freak out on me thinking I'm fake, lol. I have no shame in telling you guys when I get fillers and what not. I personally don't view it as a negative thing. I mean, it's 2017, sooooo. Now to first cover the neck fillers... For my entire life, I've always had these very distinct neck lines. Like, literally since I was a baby... and the older I got, the more it started to really bother me. Mainly in pictures. More so when I started blogging and I had to see my face on a computer screen everyday, I always have to smooth out my neck for all of my blog photos, and they're usually STILL noticeable. I'm aware that everyone has lines on their neck. but seriously guys, mine were on another level. But anyway, since the pictures are a HUGE part of a wedding day, I was like ok, fuck it, I' going to get neck fillers. Literally decided at midnight, texted my friend, and I went in that afternoon. lol. And then he convinced me to do the Vampire Facelift, and bam, I was all in haha. So let me explain what it is:
Basically it gives you the best facial, ever. Your skin LITERALLY lifts, which is why it is known as the Vampire Facelift, you just don't have to go under the knife. It's probably going to sound scary when I explain it, but you're numbed and don't really feel a thing. First, you get blood drawn out of your arm, which is then basically put back into your face with a micro-needling device, but like I said you are completely numbed with numbing cream. The process builds collagen, rejuvenates your skin, takes away dark circles from the under eyes, encourages the build of new skin cells, and it even reduces rosacea if you have it! (had no idea it was going to partially take that away, so I was pretty excited about that part when I noticed it.) So what happens after? I had to lather my face in SPF 50 sunscreen and stay out of the sun the first day. I was able to wear makeup the next day, and basically just keep my skin hydrated AF every day until the wedding. My skin has been a little dry the past few days, which is expected and why I have to hydrate my skin like crazy, but the results are AMAZING!
The wedding is now 4 days away and I feel like my skin is totally ready! Prior to the vampire facelift, I was doing all sorts of things to try and get rid of my dark circles tighten my skin, etc, and nothing made a difference, no matter how many face creams and at-home under eye circle reduction devices I tried. I know some of you might think I'm crazy for the fillers, and this vampire thing, but I want my skin to look amazing on my wedding day, and it totally does now that I've done this. If you guys saw the snapchat of my friend who was doing it, you may have noticed how freakin perfect his skin was... like straight up flawless, and it's all thanks to the vampire facelift. It's a game changer.
Now when it comes to hydration, which is always important in skin care here are some products that I love...
1. Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion: Amazing for hydration and currently what I'm using as my hydration post-vampire facelift.
2. Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask: I actually used this last night. I put this on my face and neck for 20 minutes since both areas are a bit dry right now. Great for hydration AND softer skin. I always feel SO refreshed after using this and try to use it at least once a week.
3. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: My favorite thing to use after taking my makeup off to make sure my face is nice and clean!
