So after a few years of contemplation about these Givenchy slides, I finally just went ahead and got myself a pair, and they are like my favorite things, ever. I'm not huge on clothing or shoes that have a huge brand name on them, so that's what made me a little hesitant for a while, but they ARE Givenchy, so I gave in. Four years ago, when I assisted a stylist, the main assistant stylist was moving shirts onto a rack or something, and she had said to me, "Can you grab me the guh-vin-chee shirt?" and in my head I was like... HOLD UP, you are an LA stylist and you don't even know how to properly say GIVENCHY?! But obviously I didn't say that out loud, lol. And if you are now wondering how it's properly pronounced, (which I didn't always know, but when I started doing fashion related internships, I brushed up on my terms lol,) it's basically jee-von-shee, but the J is silent, so it's like almost saying shhh, but kind of with a J in there? I don't know if that makes sense, but you get my gist.
Now were the Givenchy slides worth the purchase? YES! I love them and wear them all the time. They're super comfy and I think they're even kind of cute with jeans for a laid back look like I'm wearing in today's post. I heard they're coming out with some pastel pink ones (or maybe they're already out,) so I won't be surprised if I decide to snag myself pair just because they're freakin pink, lol.
How does sizing work since it's in UK sizes? I usually wear a size 6 if a shoe runs normal, and a 6.5 if a shoe runs small... And in the slides, I got a size 37.
