My favorite area of my apartment has always been my living room. It has gone through MANY changes and updates, but I have loved nothing more than the classic black and white look. You can see what my apartment looked like in 2014 HERE, and then the changes I made in 2015 HERE and then one last time in 2015 again, HERE. In 2014-2015, I lived in the same building as I do now, just a much smaller unit, so everything was very compact and looks a bit different than the photos today, but it is amazing to see how much my living room has transformed!! (You can see my very first apartment decor HERE from when I lived in North Hollywood.)
While I know many people have freaked out on me for having a white furniture, laughed at the fact, or have made comments about it not being practical… I LOVE that I have a white sofa. I don’t have kids, and I have a 5 pound dog. Like when people comment on Instagram saying how unpractical it is with kids and a great dane…. I’m just like, ummm, that’s cool, because I don’t have either of those. When I have kids, I still want to have this couch in another room, but I’ll probably get it upholstered either black or grey, but in the mean time, I’m going to enjoy the fact that I can have white furniture. Of course it makes me a little anal when people come over, and of course it has gotten dirty here and there, but it’s something I can clean, and I’ve learned to relax about it. lol.
Last but not least. I have been wanting this Tom Ford Book for my coffee table for a good year, maybe more, but never splurged on it. Last week, UPS drops a package at my door, and it was the book, from Cody! He started bringing it up recently, saying, “when are you going to get the Tom Ford book?” and I just kept saying, “I don’t know, maybe one of these days.” Aka, making sure I hadn’t ordered it without him knowing, so that he could order it. <3
