What is Pioneertown?
Pioneertown was originally built in the 1940s as a movie set and living community for actors and crew members working on Western films. It was envisioned as an authentic Old West town, complete with storefronts, saloons, and a functioning Mane Street. Over time, Pioneertown evolved into a popular tourist destination, and you can even stay in a movie set-like motel.
Daniel and I went to Pioneertown in the beginning of October and I loved our short little stay there! It's a small town with so much character and history. The bowling alley was probably my favorite part. It was so cool to see a real bowling alley from 1946. Since this movie set ended up becoming a real town, it's just so crazy to think about how much life happened here and how many decades have seen it. Daniel and I love old nostalgic things/places, and we were both like in Heaven, lol.
