I had an idea in my head of what I wanted my flower crown to look like before I started, and this wasn’t it haha. However, I am pretty impressed with the way it came out. I was so confused in the beginning and didn’t even know where to begin, so I kind of just improvised, and it worked out. But It’s actually much easier than it looks. The main thing I couldn’t get were how to put in the big flowers. I understand how to now, though, so I’ll do another one of these posts again, explaining how to do the big ones.
When I first started, I tried glueing the small flowers onto the one piece that goes around my head, but it was way too thin for even the tiny flowers, so I got another brown wire, “folded” it, and then twisted it to make it thicker. You create a little base of flowers onto it, then you just start glueing flowers everywhere. I had no perfect way of doing it, I just glued and glued, and since the glue dries clear, it won’t come out looking like a mess. haha. So I glued the flowers onto that, and when I was done, I wrapped it onto the actual crown.
What you’ll need:
1. Flowers (I know Hayley, duh.)
2. Glue (E6000 is the best!)
3. A toothpick (to put glue onto the tiny flowers without getting so messy.)
4. Brown Floral Wire (What wraps around your head.
5. Scissors (or wire cutters, but scissors worked for me.)
– I bought green wire as well, but I didn’t even need it for this type of flower crown. I made myself use it to tie around the ends of the flower strip to the crown, but I could have easily glued it.
This is so creative and it looks so pretty!
