The best Red Velvet Hot Cocoa, ever! If you're ever in Park City, the Atticus Book Store is where you can find it.
So our room didn't have a balcony, but our windows did open, so we literally stepped out of the window to take these, lol.
We luckily are good friends with a lot the our neighbors at our apartment building, so Meela stayed with one of them, aka her “uncle Jason.” lol. We got into Utah at around 4:30 pm or so, (remember last year when we missed our flight and we didn’t get in until like 11pm? lol.) Anyway, once we checked in, we put our stuff away and went to dinner downstairs at Burgers & Bourbon. Once we ate, we walked around the hotel for a while, then went back to the room, go into our hotel robes, poured some wine, lit the fireplace, and watched whatever Christmas movie was on tv. We were out cold by 8pm, if I remember correctly. We were DEAD tired fore some reason. (I blame the high altitude.)
Next morning, we ordered room service for breakfast, got ready, then went over to Main Street in downtown Park City. The cutest little town! We walked around and went into different shops and ate at a highly recommended place called High West. After I eat lunch or dinner, I always need something sweet after, so I wanted to find place for hot chocolate… This was the day I discovered the Red Velvet Hot Cocoa. Talk about a GAME CHANGER in the hot chocolate department. We found it at the Atticus Book Store. So if you’re ever in Park City, I’m sure you’ll head over to Main Street, the Red Velvet Hot Cocoa is a MUST. We walked around some more, checked out some of the other shops, then went back to the hotel. I was freezing, so I grabbed the wine I had in the mini fridge and got straight into the bathtub. Got into my robe after and then relaxed in bed while I edited some photos. Cody went out the the s’mores campfire the hotel offers every night, but I couldn’t hang, lol.
Later that night, we got ready for the night, went down to the pool tables and played at least 5 games of pool before heading to dinner at another one of the restaurants in the hotel. Downstairs of the hotel, there’s a pub with a bowling alley, so we got dinner while we played a few games of bowling. (I lost both times… fake nails and bowling balls don’t work really well together.) And then we went back to the pool tables for a few more games.
On day 3, we woke up a little later, we went down stairs to play a few games of pool, ate lunch at another restaurant there, then, of course, I wanted something sweet, and the only thing I wanted was the red velvet hot cocoa, lol, so off to Main Street we went. Once we got back, it was time for the S’mores campfire, so I actually made it there this time. We went back inside to get some wine and go BACK to the pool tables, haha. Guys, we were obsessed. We were there for a few hours, at least. One lady even walked by and was like “You guys have been playing this all day!” Later that night, the live music started, so we finally stopped playing and finished our drinks t ogive ourselves a break. We grabbed dinner at Apex inside the hotel, then went back up to the room to find a Christmas movie to watch.
And that’s pretty much it! When we stayed at The Hyatt last year, there wasn’t much to do there, so we went downtown and even spent a day at The Montage… This year actually being at a hotel with a lot to do, it was nice for everything to be in one place and be able to enjoy the hotel. Needless to say, we loved it! Park City is definitely one of my favorite places to visit.
