It feels so great to finally be back shooting in LA again! I can't even explain how much of a change it was trying to find locations in Huntington Beach to shoot at. I mean, there's the beach, but I don't have very many beachy looks lol. Plus all the buildings are short there, so there's never any shade for good natural lighting. Seriously, we took 3 outfits on Monday and it took us maybe an hour total, where as in HB, it would take us 45 minutes just for one outfit, (not an exaggeration.)

Ok, I feel like you've all heard me complain enough about all of that in many of my previous posts, so now that I'm all moved back, you won't have to hear it anymore. If anything this whole thing just made me appreciate where I was in the first place, sooooo something good came out of it lol.

Now for something else non-related to this outfit... have you all checked out my Blondie in the City Collection yet?! If you haven't had a chance to buy yourself a piece, there are about only 3 weeks left until we decide which pieces we are taking out before the new line comes out! I began working on the second line of completely new shirts and sayings today to add to the collection and it will be something more universal, so brunettes and redheads won't feel like they can't buy them haha... but as I mentioned last week during the launch... I started with "Blondie in the City" to announce the collection, and even my friends and family who were brunette wanted shirts, lol, so I thought it was a perfect thing to start it all off with. Plus, I felt like it wouldn't make sense if that wasn't what I started it off with. Anyway, thank you all again for the support you've showed after the launch and for all of the great feedback!! <3

Now as for what's important here... the outfit. This dress from Forever 21 actually has off the shoulder pieces to it, which you can see in the widget below, but obviously, the jacket hid those. Even with this coat being a neutral color, and pretty simple, it added so much to this look. When it was just the black dress with the heels, the outfit looked so plain, and just like any other "LBD" type of look. The coat tied it all together. It's also a perfect piece to use during the Spring right now because it's very light weight, so it's perfect to throw over outfits you want to add to, without worrying if you're going to get hot later on, wondering where you're going to put it if you want to take it off.

I totally understand the whole struggle of finding shade. I swear I always find such cute location to shoot at but because of the lack of shade, the photos look horrible

Love the neutrals! Aha thanks for thinking of us brunettes! Unfortunately, if I dyed my hair blonde, it’d look super wonky and unnatural! (I am asian ;))

I’m impressed that you can shoot 3 looks in an hour in LA. I’m based in LA, and maybe it’s because I’m newer to this, but I can’t seem to do my shoots that quickly. How many photos do you take on an average shoot?
