I've had the avocado toast here once and I was a little skeptical based off the photo and the fact that it's a french restaurant, but It was surprisingly very good. Definitely the most different type of avocado toast I've seen, but so good. I didn't even need tapatio! I mean, had I known they had avocado toast, I would have brought my own, but it was still really good without. They put it on a toasted Brioche, which is AMAZING, avocado, pumpkin seeds, and scrambled eggs.
Avocado Toast is one of my favorite things to order from Postmates or Door Dash. And yes, I know. Can't you just make avocado toast yourself? Yes, but no. It NEVER tastes the same! I've tried so many different types of bread to make it, and I haven't found one I actually like. The avocado? No matter how long I leave it out of the fridge, it's always hard. Any avocado toast lover would agree that it's ALWAYS better when someone else makes it. I'm pretty plain with my Avocado toast. Any place I order it from, I usually only want avocado on it, while I add lemon and tapatio. Sometimes I'll do a poached egg or scrambled eggs to change it up though. Now being an Avocado Toast lover, I've tried a good amount of avocado toast from different places, and these are my top 5! (Yes, there have been places that just did not make it right lol.)
1.Toast Bakery Cafe
8221 W. 3rd St.
Los Angeles, CA 90048
This place is number one on my list, and I'm sure you've seen me instagram story this place a million times. I NEVER liked poached eggs until I came here and had their avocado toast. Why are they my number one pick? Obviously they have great avocado toast, but if you ask for a lemon (which I like to put on mine,) they bring it to you with the netting over so no seeds come out, AND they have Tapatio there, which I feel like SO many places don't, and I usually have to bring my own. Not only do they make my favorite avocado toast, but pretty much everything on their menu is phenomenal. (P.S. this one is pretty messy because of the poached egg, lol.)
2. Verve Coffee Roasters
8925 Melrose Avenue
West Hollywood, CA 90069
The avocado toast from Verve ties for first with Toast Bakery. Only reason I have it as second is because Toast was my favorite place for so long, so I can't betray them, haha. They give you a pretty large piece of toast, that doesn't get flimsy when delivered, like it does from other places, which I really like. I get mine without onions!
4. The Belmont
747 N. La Cienega Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069
I usually will get the Buff Chicken or the chicken sliders here, but if I'm going to Postmates something from here, I'll get the avocado toast. They make theirs a little differently than other places. They add balsamic, chipotle mayo sauce, feta cheese, and basil, on ciabatta bread, but I only get it with the avocado and basil, and I add lemon and tapatio. Something about their avocado, though... It's FIRE.
5. The Hart & The Hunter
8051 W. 3rd Street
Los Angeles, CA 90048
I lovvvve their avocado! It has a little lemon flavor to it, and it's smashed. I get no onions and no smoked olives.
Ugh! I wish Okinawa had as many places that serve avocado toast…that would probably be the only circumstance that I also try poached eggs!
Oh no! What a bummer!! Hopefully you are able to find a spot near you soon! <3
This looks sooo good!! Will have to give these spots a try. Thank you for sharing xxx
