Cheers to my 27th year! I never really know what to write for my birthday posts on here, but it's pretty much been a tradition on my blog (I think since my 23rd?) to always get the number balloons for a photo, lol. Even last year, when Cody was out of town for work, I still managed to get a photo with the balloons on 10 second timer via an iPhone app and my phone propped up with books and a sneaker to prevent it from sliding... which is even more difficult than it sounds, BUT, it actually turned out to be one of my most liked photos on Instagram last year. Crazy, right?! Moving on, though... Over the weekend, Cody and I went to have dinner at a restaurant called Catch in West Hollywood, which serves mainly seafood (I hate seafood,) but we went mainly for the scene & view... plus, I knew I'd find something aside from seafood on the menu. I did try the spicy fried shrimp, though, and I actually loved it. Then for my meal, I had the mushroom truffle pasta. Also loved it. Definitely a place I'll be adding to my "Favorite Places to Eat in LA" post that I've been working on!
Yesterday, a few of my neighbors brought over some treats as little pre-birthday gifts, (I seriously have the best apartment neighbors,) and Cody had take out from an italian restaurant I like, ready to go once I got home from work. I really wanted to binge watch Ozark, so I didn't want to go out for dinner or anything. (We have one more episode left of season one!) We pretty much watched up until my actual birthday at midnight. I'll be at work today, and then I'll be going out for Mexican food at my other favorite restaurant in LA, called Petty Cash, once I get home with two of my friends (Cody had to go out of town for work today - he travels a ton during the fall!)

Lastly, I'll be at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic this weekend! So that will finish off the Birthday week. It's funny though, because I actually don't like celebrating/doing anything for my birthday. After reading the above, I know it sounds like I do, but I've tried to keep it just like a normal date night with Cody, getting tacos with friends, and then the Veuve event isn't necessarily a birthday thing, it just happened to fall during my "birthday weekend." I'm really weird when it comes to all attention on me. lol.

Well, that's all I have for you guys today. Probably the most I've written for a post in a while, but I had to add something since there was only one photo, haha.
