Putting together pieces from your closet to create a different look is easier than you think. This shirt is a boyfriend tee from Old Navy and it is one of my favorites. It’s like the perfect amount of “oversized” for being a boyfriend tee, and it is so comfortable. (It’s actually my moms shirt, and I’m pretty sure she has no idea I took it with me. lol.) So tie it up, style yourself with accessories, and you’re good to go.
Now to change the mood a bit, today marks 6 years since my cousin Christopher passed away. I wrote a blog post about it last year, which you can read here in case you are un-familiar with that part of my life. Christopher was like my brother. We spent our entire childhood together with our moms planning out how our outfits would match: Power ranger pajamas when we’d spend the night at each other’s house, denim and black boots on Christmas, jeans with our white Goofy sweatshirt for Disneyland, you name it. Never in a million years did I think he would have to leave this earth after just 17 years of life. I say this every year, but no one ever thinks that anything bad will happen to those they know or love, but truly, anyone can be taken from this earth at any given time, and it will never make sense. Love everyone you have in your life, because you never know when you will have your last conversation with someone, or see them for the very last time.
