First Christmas in this new home and I'm so happy we were able to get the fireplace re-done before the holidays. Below, you'll see the original fireplace/living room, so we took out the wall unit to open the space up, and just placed a new tile on top of the existing tile on the fireplace. I went with the Emporio White Onyx 24x48 tile from The Tile Club, and I love how it looks in this space! Going with a lighter tile just opened the room up even more. Once we actually finish the living room, I'll show you guys the full space, lol, but I literally do not have a sofa or side chairs yet, because I'm still trying to figure out what I want.

My coworker's dad does things like this for work, so he was able to get this completed for us! Once the tile was cut and placed, we painted the mantle, and that was it! No demo needed. (Paint: "Baby Fawn" by Benjamin Moore.) Being that this is our first Christmas in our forever home, I could not wait to get this little area set up for the holidays. What do you think?! My next fireplace tile project will be the master bedroom.
