* Side Note: I have a difficult time controlling my eyebrows, so if one looks crazy high, I have a huge habit of raising the right one hahaha.

It’s been a little over a month that I got my eyebrows microbladed, and I’m excited to finally write this post about it! If you don’t know what microblading is, it’s basically what people call eyebrow tattooing, or permanent eyebrows. I know the “permanent” and “tattooing” can be a little scary, because it’s like.. uhhh, wait, what if I don’t like how they turn out? or, what if I want to change the shape?! I’m stuck with these forever?! lol. Microblading is semi-permanent, so let’s say you one day want to completely change your eyebrow shape, you absolutely can. Another cool thing about the microblading is that they look like actual hair strokes, and looks completely natural.

I had NOOOO eyebrows before this, and would take like 30 minutes everyday to fill them in. When I worked in an office, I would full on leave my eyebrow makeup on some nights so that I didn’t have to draw them in while half asleep in the morning. In the photos above, I have them filled in, and even when I take my makeup off, they still look great. It is so exciting being able to have no makeup on, but actually still have full on eyebrows. And when I fill them in, I have a shape to follow. It literally takes me two seconds now! I’ve talked about my eyebrow experience multiple times on Snapchat, and kind of took you guys through my healing process, and I’ve also showed a few times what they look like with no makeup on. I got mine done by Cindy Vu over at Daria Chupry’s Permanent Makeup in Beverly Hills. Cindy also has an office in Orange County for any of my OC people that are interested! I found Cindy through Instagram, and was instantly like, I HAVE TO GO TO HER. Literally 2 days later, I had my appointment booked, and I was so happy she was the person I went with.

How it works: You first have your eyebrows shaped/drawn on to see if you like the shape. Once you get your shape how you want it, your eyebrows are numbed, and the process begins. It’s actually a much quicker process than I thought, but your entire eyebrow section hits your sinuses like crazy, so you will feel like you need to sneeze the whole time lol. Just like a tattoo, it’s like a really annoying feeling, rather than painful. I think because of the whole sinus thing, it makes it worse than a tattoo, but I personally don’t think tattoos hurt. Anyway, once the microblading is finished, a shade is picked, which will be really dark for about the first week. Because my hair is practically white (obviously not here lol,) I like didn’t leave the house for 3 days because they were so dark… but when my mom got hers done, since her hair is dark, she looked totally fine. After a week, it peels just like a normal tattoo, and the color matches perfectly with the eyebrow hair you originally had. After a month, you go in for a touch up, incase there is anything you want to fix or change, and also to have the strokes appear a bit darker and more visible. Then you’re good to go!
