My baby shower was this weekend and it seriously could not have turned out more perfect. My friend Steven, (pictured above, next to Emily, the godmother,) who has literally done every single event for me went above and beyond, as always. All I had to tell him was a Neapolitan color scheme would be cute, so we moved forward with an ice cream theme, and he took it all from there. I sincerely never have to worry or feel like I need to take any control over anything when Steven is behind it all. HUGE thank you to him, and of course, my mom for putting this day together.
My only worry/struggle for this party was figuring out what I was going to wear. lol. The dress I went with is my first and only maternity outfit I have purchased. I have literally only been wearing dresses during pregnancy, because pants pushing on my stomach is not the vibe right now... and since I've only been wearing dresses that have stretch to them, I've felt like maternity clothes haven't been necessary. I'm either at work (where I throw on a black fitted dress,) or at home where I'm lounging in an oversized t-shirt. But back to the maternity dress. It honestly exceeded my expectations. I was nervous about it, thinking it would make me look frumpy, but the quality, material, style of it... it was perfect and exactly what I had been looking for. (I had other options that came in from elsewhere that I absolutely hated, lol - so those I will be returning.) The dress I went with was the last one I ordered and last one that came in, too!
Now if this place looks familiar, I also had my Bridal Shower here! I couldn't resist. First and foremost, I LOVE the sandwiches served here. Like, I had been craving them for weeks leading up to the party. I'm pretty sure I had like 12 sandwiches. My two favorites were the cream cheese & cucumber and the chicken and cranberry. I actually texted my mom a chicken and cranberry sandwich recipe today and asked if she can make them for me soon, haha. Second, in case it was going to be hot, I realllllyyyy didn't want anything outside, or I would have complained the entire time, lol. And I just wanted everyone to be comfortable.
I am so grateful for the day I had and how everything turned out. It was perfect!
