Cody and I are on our way back to LA today after our fun little weekend in Carmel. The trip was a Christmas gift to us by my mother in law! We both had never been and we absolutely loved it! I had a lot of questions about where we stayed (which I avoided tagging the hotel, only because we brought Meela, and I was nervous because I never asked if dogs were allowed lol. And if they weren't, we were screwed because we were 6 hours away from LA. The property is pretty big and secluded, so we never ran into an employee with her.) Anyway, we stayed at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands, which has a beautiful view of the water, and so does their restaurant. So the nights we were here, we would head to the restaurant, grab a drink, and watch the sunset. I'd say the ONLY downside, was the fact that the rooms don't have vents... meaning NO AIR CONDITIONING. Cody and I like have to sleep with the AC on, so we were kind of dying, lol. Luckily there was a fan in the room to plug in, but still, nothing like have the fireplace going, with the AC on, and being under the covers. And even without the fireplace going, I felt literally had a moment each night where I felt like I was going to pass out lol.
