As a little birthday gift to myself, I decided to buy myself the Rose Gold Macbook! In other news, I got myself a second computer lol. I also have the MacBook Pro, which has been amazing, and I can do everything on it. However, when I bought the Pro, I originally wanted the regular Macbook… But everyone at the Apple store said that the MacBook wouldn’t be a good choice, because I use Photoshop, iMovie, and Lightroom, AND upload photos to my computer with a memory card. (This MacBook has only ONE slot, and that is to charge it, so you can’t insert a memory card or anything.) Not that you can’t use Photoshop & Lightroom on it, but they are a little too hefty for it, so it’s best to use them on the MacBook Pro. I DO have Photoshop downloaded on both because I sometimes need to do a quick fix for something, but what has become annoying on my MacBook Pro, is that I need to shut it down every once in a while, because things start to run a lot slower, but the thing is, I very rarely can re-start it, because I have so many thing open on Photoshop and Lightroom at one time, that I just don’t have time to save every single file, close everything down and restart it. I’m literally like, I JUST NEED TO POST THIS BLOG POST REALLY QUICK AND THEN I’LL SHUT YOU DOWN, SO PLEASSSSSE WORK WITH ME YOU STUBBORN COMPUTER. Ok, dramatic, but for the longest time, I have been saying I needed a second computer. I have loved being able to export files on the pro, while working on something else on the MacBook. I also take the macbook with me to work and when I go home for a weekend or something. It’s light and easy to carry around.

I know you’re probably like, why can’t you just do everything on one? I honestly just have so many things open at once, that it’s hard to get things done on just one, so I literally have both of them open at once most of the time. But I just really love the rose gold macbook, and how I have one to “travel” with, in a way, or to use when I’m sitting in bed, etc.

What a lovely treat and a great birthday gift for yourself! The rose fold is absolutely stunning. I just saw it in the store the other day, and was so tempted to start saving towards it, but I was not so happy about the fact that there are no USB ports! I also have a macbook pro and it is my work horse. I don’t think I ever turn it off and always have a million programs open at once as well. I would love to have a second computer, but I would be afraid that I would miss using photoshop and lightroom on the air while away on holidays if I only had the air.
