This little cut out in our living room is my most recent home decor project. We moved into our home in December of 2021 and styling every room/section has felt like it's taken forever! I know it hasn't, but I'm the type of person who needs everything done like, right away, lol. This cut out was one section that I'd literally stare at daily, trying to get an idea for what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to add in some floating shelves and a sideboard, though. First of all, a sideboard is a necessity in any home. It's decor AND storage in one. We were using a random cabinet in the kitchen for the past year as a storage section (candles, books, etc.) which was killing me, so I was desperate to find the perfect sideboard. This one from Nathan James was exactly what I was looking for and fits this space exactly how I wanted it to. I love the color and herringbone finish!
