I've clearly been a little MIA on my blog, but for good reason, which you probably already know if you follow on instagram. I was in New York for my first fashion week! For the past couple years, I have been avoiding going to NYFW because I just reallllly am not the type of person who likes events, unless I have someone with me/know somebody that will also be going. Season after season (Fall & Spring,) I receive countless emails from PR companies about shows and events they will be hosting, and I'm always like "Thank you so much for the invite, but unfortunately, I am unable to attend Fashion week this time around! But then this year, literally two weeks before, I texted some of my friends I've met through blogging, and we decided to just go this year. By the way, I do NOT recommend trying to plan a trip to NYFW 2 weeks before. We were emailing like CRAZY trying to RSVP to shows, events, trying to collaborate with a hotel, figuring out how many days we wanted to be there for, what time we should arrive, leave, etc. Anyway, we made it work, and we are already looking forward to going to NYFW in the Fall.

I have a few upcoming posts I will be sharing with you guys about it all, and today's was all from our first day... where we hadn't slept for 32 hours. no joke. We all took Red-Eye flights to New York, (I have the hardest time falling asleep on flights, let alone a red-eye,) couldn't check into the hotel when we got there since it was so early and had to wait till 3, so we all got ready in the hotel bathrooms like zombies, and hit the streets of Soho. Chandler, who is one of my best friends and is the one who does my hair, got us an appointment at Louis Vuitton around noon, so after we got a shit ton of photos under our belts, we walked over to the Louis store. So we sipped on champagne as we shopped around for Lord knows how long. (Shared my purchase on IG stories.) Once we finished there, we went into a couple other stores, and by that time, it was already 3pm, so we Ubered back to the hotel so we could finally check in. (Hotel post should be up this week.) We were pretty delirious at this point due to the lack of sleep and food, so we walked over to an Italian restaurant near our hotel to somewhat be brought back to life, then it was time for our first show. We attended the Greta Constantine show, where there was champagne upon arrival, so I mean... we weren't complaining. After the show, we went over to the Arlo Soho Hotel to meet up with my friend Kira, who lives in my apartment building, but works in PR, so she was also in New York for Fashion Week.... Had a few drinks and back to the hotel we went to finally get some sleep. This first day seemed like eternity because that we hadn't slept since the night before, but we still had a great time! (speaking of being tired, I'm tired right now, so forgive me for any grammar mistakes, lol.)

Wonderful bohemian romantic in the Streets of Soho !
“Lady, if thee beseem a stile so low,
In whose sweet looks such sacred beauty shine, —
For never yet did Heaven such grace bestow
On any daughter born of Adam’s line —
Thy name let us, though far unworthy, know,
Unfold thy will, and whence thou art in fine,2
Lest my audacious boldness learn too late
What honors due become thy high estate.”
