And here's to my last post of 2019 - A little outfit inspo for New Years Eve.
To back track a little on this year, it was definitely a better one for me than 2018 was, which I am very grateful for. 2018 was just..... NOT it. lol. This past year, I worked a lot on myself, my positivity, my gratefulness, and basically just appreciating each day - even the not so great ones. I tried to find some good in everyday and I made it a habit to wake up each morning and thank God for all that I am grateful for. I read a quote a long time ago that was something along the lines of: "What if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday?" and it has stuck with me ever since. Starting your day with a grateful heart and mind definitely sets the tone for the rest of your day. This has made me a much more positive person, and a happier one, as well. I've also been working on not dwelling on things, after reading the quote that said "Was it a bad day? Or just a bad 5 minutes?" There are SO many times where one little thing will go wrong, and we allow it to set the mood for the REST of the day... If something goes wrong, use it as a learning lesson. Even something as little as spilling your coffee before even getting to drink it - next time, wake up earlier so you don't have to rush to get your coffee. (Can you tell this has happened to me? lol.) Anyway, applying those two little tactics to each day have really helped me into becoming a more positive person, which I am definitely going to continue working on in the new year.
