Since last Wednesday, I’ve been getting over having Laryngitis, and I still had it when I took these photos, and I was not a happy camper because I had to actually do my hair and makeup! haha. Wednesday and Thursday, I had completely lost my voice, my throat was killing me, and I couldn’t stop coughing for the life of me. Basically all I have now is the cough, which is annoying the crap out of me, but at least I have my voice back.
Now let’s talk about this street of palm trees, one of my favorite sites to see in LA (aside from the view from behind the Hollywood sign.) There are many streets in LA with palm trees, but not all of them have an entire street of them, so I love when I find ones that do. It’s interesting, because many people from out of state associate palm trees with LA, but anyone born and raised in California, associate palm trees with Orange County or the beach, and not really LA at all. (I’ve seen countless photos of palm trees online, with “LA” written across, or something like that.) I mentioned this to my dad once, and he almost had no idea LA even had that many palm trees, lol! So the next time he and my mom came over, I was driving them somewhere while pointing out the amount of areas with palm trees, and he was almost shocked at the fact that there were palm trees over here. Either way, they really are all over Southern California, and they always make for a great picture :)

That’s interesting about the palm trees, I’m from San Diego and I’ve always associated them with all of southern California, though of course they’re not native at all!

Such a gorgeous dress and the backdrop could not be any prettier :) Love your blog!
Love this pale icy blue on you!! You look incredible!
I also enjoyed the anecdote about the palms. It’s so funny how we view our hometown vs. the perception from the outside looking in… My dad and sister both live in LA and I’ve indulged in some palm-lined street photo ops myself!
